What is Traditional Thai Massage
Developed in ancient times by physicians to the Royal Thai court using acupressure points from native healing practices and postures from the Indian system of yoga, this powerful therapeutic bodywork is still as affecting today. The treatment is applied to the client clothed lying on the floor affecting deep release of tension across the body, and transformative release.
UNESCO RECOGNISED HEALING ART 'NUAD BO RARN' IS 'TRADITIONAL THAI MASSAGE'
Since 2019, Unesco officially protects and preserves this ancient health practice.
Unesco, in 2019, has recently included ‘Nuad Bo Rarn’, translated as Traditional Thai massage, on their Representative List of practices described as ‘an intangible cultural heritage of Humanity’.
Prior to this, Namee has been practising and upholding the authentic application of Nuad Bo Rarn to clients. The effects of which are as transformative and therapeutic to this day. It is this sanctity and purity of the practice which Namee practises, which has its origins and practice dating back centuries.
Founded centuries ago, and practised within Thailand by Lanna folk people, northern Thailand, and physicians to the Royal Court of Thailand, Nuad Bo Rarn uses postures of yoga, developed in India, and focuses on acupressure points, similar to Chinese acupuncture points, to affect release of blockages within the physical body.
Distinct from Chinese medicine, Thailand has it’s own energy template of the human body, based on energy lines, which they term, SEN. There are 10 main Sen lines governing the human body, with several lines reaching into the thousands which govern the healthy balance of the body.
Whenever there is disease, discomfort, aches or pains within the body, it is viewed as a blockages within the Sen, and an intuitive, fully certified practitioner can use Traditional Thai massage to help the body to release these blockages, assisting with bringing balance and unlimited health to the client.
The practice is administered to the client fully clothed, with client lying on the floor on a comfortable mattress. It incorporates four main postures; lying on back, lying on front, side, and sitting positions.
An effective treatment usually takes 1.5 hours, yet a taste of the treatment and effective relaxation can be experienced within an hour treatment.
Namee offers 1.5 hour, 90 min and 2 hour treatments for clients.

Having trained in massage techniques across the world, UK, Thailand and India; a fully trained and insured practitioner since 2005; Traditional Thai massage has been the most resonant technique which fully supports the body's organic ability to heal itself and restore balance.
Dedicated to a wellness lifestyle and with a yoga practice of over 20 years, Namee looks forward to meeting with you.
In 2023, Namee has undertaken advanced training in the most advanced Lanna postures within Nuad Bo Rarn, which can be offered within your specific client focused treatment. Namee is certificed by the Thai Ministry of Education and the Thai Ministry of Public Health to practice all levels of Nuad Bo Rarn, and also to teach the fundamental level of this practice.
Namee constantly seeks to improve her practice and discipline by regular professional development trips to Thailand to further train under qualified and Royally decreed imminent practitioners, and visits to Chiang Mai University.
